CAMERA FUND 2018
We are currently ring-fencing all Donations into our Camera Fund 2018, to pay for equipment which is vital for hunt monitoring; to protect land & gather evidence of Hunting Act offences.
The Not Guilty verdict given at Poole Magistrates Court on 14th March 2018, to a Master of Fox Hounds who was charged under Section 1 of the Hunting Act, has persuaded us that equipping our team* with state-of-the-art cameras is essential for the 2018/19 season. Please contribute if you can.
Amount raised so far: £1115 (target: £1500)
*Peter White (above, left) and Kevin Hill (above, right) are two of the most experienced Hunt Monitors alive today. We have worked with Peter for nearly thirty years and, as Wildlife Action, were instrumental in closing the New Forest Buckhounds in 1997. We started working with Kevin when he was Sanctuaries Manager for the League Against Cruel Sports in the 1990s. The two men joined forces in the late ’90s to become a formidable and successful investigative team. Peter and Kevin were employed by the International Fund for Animal Welfare until 2016. They now operate as independent volunteers. We are very grateful to them for all they’ve done and, through this fundraising effort, hope to be able to enable them to continue their life’s work.
